Remember that politically themed card game that Justin has talked about every episode for the last year and a half? The Contender? The one where they raised $140k on Kickstarter, then went $40k in debt and now they finally got out of debt? Yeah that one. Wait… that was what I was gonna tell you about. They've finally broke even.
Anyway, John Teasdale wrote a big Medium post about their journey. Then, thanks to Karl, the article blew up on Hacker News and then it got posted on the /r/boardgames subreddit. This extra publicity turned out to be very good for them. The last few days have been very good for them in terms of sales… and now they get to KEEP the money!
Modern Rogue is Blowing Up
The Modern Rogue is blowin up, dog! Their latest episode about prison hooch is a lot more popular than previous episodes and they've gained around 7,000 subscribers a day for the past few days. How neat is that?!
And Brian DEFINITELY predicted that the Modern Rogue channel will pass 100,000 subscribers by Monday December 5, 2016 at 2pm central. We should all hold him to this and never let him forget it.

Aftershow
THEY PAID OFF THE JUICY JUICE JOKE! Oh and they watched more flaming shot videos with Mikey. After a while, Brian got a call from his tax guy at 11pm so he stepped out. While he was gone, Justin and Mikey talked about Patreon and how that would affect creative endeavors.
Then Brian came back and they all had extremely strong opinions about Westworld. Brian doesn't like it, Justin thinks it's a legitimately terrible show, Mikey likes it and I don't give a FUUUUUUCK… so I tuned out. I think there were lots of spoilers if you're afraid of those.
This is when I stopped watching, who knows what happens after that.
