Happy Birthday Brian!

It's Brian's birthday today! Also celebrating birthdays today: Brett RounsavilleJammerB, Betty White and Michelle Obama. How neat is that?!

To celebrate, Bonnie and the girls made Brian a cake with the photo of Harambe the Cincinnati Zoo doesn't want you to see drawn with icing.

Brian Got Pretty Sick

Over the weekend, Brian got sick and threw up a bunch of soup. He asked Bonnie for some more soup, but she wouldn't give him more soup.

Nextdoor

Ya heard of that Nextdoor app? It's a social network with all the people in your neighborhood that old people can use to be racist and complain about how fast cars drive on residential streets. Well, Brian went on Nextdoor last night and posted the photo of Harambe the Cincinnati Zoo doesn't want you to see.

PAX South

Mikey is gonna be doing a live Movies with Mikey panel at PAX south (Saturday January 28, 2017 @6:30pm central time) so if you're at PAX South 2017, you should go to that. I'm told it'll be streamed on Twitch. Also Brian and Justin are doing a meetup at the Leapin Lizard bar on Thursday January 26, 2017.

You Like Sherlock?

Brian loves Sherlock, so does Mikey. Justin thinks last season was bad, and he didn't like the first episode of this season.

Aftershow

Brian talked a bit about the 4chan Pedo-Bomb that he endured back in 2013. Then they watched some flaming shot videos and looked at a ton of Brian-centric adobeshops that the Chatrealm put together for his birthday.

A Word from the Show Notes Writer

Hey, thanks for reading the show notes! I've been writing these pages since July 2010 and I've legitimately had a ton of fun doing it.

Unfortunately, my enthusiasm for this show has been slowly decreasing for a long time and I'm at the point where writing show notes is a real drag. I was absolutely done with all this back in December and was gonna stop then, but all the Twitch Drama blew up and I didn't want it to look like that was the reason I was leaving. I realize that situation still isn't completely settled yet, but fuck it dude, writing about a show you don't enjoy anymore suuuuuuuucks. The guiding principle behind Chatrealm contributions has always been that we contribute as much or as little to the shows as is enjoyable to us. This is not fun for me anymore and this will be the last page of show notes I write. Bummer!

Now, the way I see it, there's a very good chance that nobody else will write these pages and this could be the last detailed set of show notes for Night Attack. I love that we can think back to an episode that happened six years ago and quickly get a rundown of all the things they did in that show. For a new fans, I have to imagine it's extraordinarily helpful in learning the history of the show, and I think it's a shame that it might not continue for the rest of time. History is written by the people who give enough of a shit to write it down and I really hope there's more lurkers out there like me who love the show as much as I have for the last eight years and are willing to take the reigns on this. Or maybe you're NOT a lurker! I don't care, I just want detailed show notes to continue on. There are literally no rules. You don't need permission from ANYBODY to write these pages. If you think writing show notes could be fun for you, please give it a shot. Here's the template I used.

It's tough for me to walk away from the show notes knowing that they might just be ignored and new pages will cease to be written after I'm done. The unfortunate truth is that I just haven't been enjoying the show for quite a while now and I have to stop writing these pages for my own mental wellbeing. It's been real.

P.S. As some of you know, I also run the BBpediaVideos YouTube channel. Nothing is changing as far as me archiving videos. That shit's super easy to do, so I'm gonna keep doing that. Also, I upload a ton more shit to Archive.org. Did you know that? Like full, unedited streams of the JuRY PodcastCordkillersThe Bizarre Briefing and more. The pre- and post-shows for those podcasts don't get posted anywhere else. Sure, DiamondClub.tvsaves them for a while, but I'm talking long-term storage, baby! Download them raw files! Mmmmm yeah! Love those .flv's!
