Urban Dictionary: Home Improvement Edition
Brian started the show by talking about some of the improvements he's made to the studio. They then went off on a tangent looking up all of the home improvement terms on Urban Dictionary. In doing so, they tried to write the definition for "attic door", but Justin accidentally typed "addict door". They defined "addict door" as "sex in one's ear hole".
Brickslap is Awesome
Chatrealmer, SgtMuffin, created Brickslap.tv. It's basically DiamondClub.tv, but with multiple live channels and a few extra channels for 24/7 comedy videos, podcasts and tech videos. He even made a desktop app that replicates the web interface.
It's legitimately awesome, and it's really only a matter of time before this merges into (or replaces) DiamondClub.tv.
Brian is Obsessed with Dumb Reddit TIL Posts
So there's a bunch of children who are learning basic facts everyday. Then, they post these facts on Reddit saying "TIL…" (Today I Learned). Instead of disregarding the musings of children, Grandpa Brian gets really worked up about these kinds of things.
Brian asked the Chatrealm to look through Reddit to find some of the dumbest TIL posts so they could make fun of them on the show. Check out all the dumb submissions here.
Yik Yak
In this episode, the guys became obsessed with the app Yik Yak. Yik Yak is an app that lets you anonymously chat with people physically near you. Whenever there was an awkward pause, one of them would just say something posted on Yik Yak. �
Justin and Tom decided to post the same thing on their respective Yik Yaks to see which area (Oakland or LA) has a better response to this post: "Ever pull an addict door? Where you fornicate a girl's rathole." Oakland was not a fan of this post, however LA was more positive.

So the Self-Help Book thing is still going and to help us further understand the character of Chet Paige, Tom Merritt was there to channel the spirit of Chet and answer the Chatrealm's questions.
Self-Help Book Update
So we have a bunch of chapters written and it's time to start editing. The last day to submit your chapter is January 27th, 2015. After that the editing process begins and the plan is to have everything done by Valentines day.

It's A Pretty Big Couple of Weeks for Brian
So last week Brian hit a million subscribers on YouTube, this week he turns 40 and two days after that, his TV show Hacking the System premieres on NatGeo. That's pretty sweet. Justin tried to get some ideas for a big twitter stunt to promote Hacking the System, but this is such a big deal to Brian that he doesn't want to fuck with it.
Hacking the System is debuting on Monday, January 19th, 2015. There will be a companion stream during the premiere featuring Brian, Jason Murphy and probably Justin and Tom and maybe even more people.

Aftershow
In the aftershow, they did music video breakdowns for Crazy Town's Butterfly and Soundgarden's Black Hole Sun. Then they took a look at George Lucas and James Cameron's student films. Then they watched some of Mr. Plinkett's Titanic review.
Then like an hour into the aftershow, they started talking about politics, US foreign policy, war in the middle east and the France Hebdo stuff. If politics makes your metaphorical dick soft, you can stop watching early, nothing important happens after the politics talk.
